My fish tacos were confused with too many toppings on a small 4 inch tortilla. The loaded spuds are just frozen deep fried fries with a basic cheese sauce and toppings. The nachos weren't terrible but if you're not used to won ton chips I don't recommend for 11$. My brother and father both ordered the wood fired cheeseburger and my sister ordered the grilled chicken Cesar salad. Both were extremely acidic and not enjoyable.įor food I ordered the nachos and loaded "spuds" appetizer with the fish tacos. I ordered the obx hurricane and he ordered the tiki special of the day. Most ordered normal drinks except myself and brother in law. Our waitress who was the manager was also being shadowed. The restaurant is mostly a bar with a few tables and a couple ocean front tables. We were greeted by staff and seated quickly. We used the entrance on the right side instead of going through the hotel lobby. It is attached to the Ramada which is no big deal. I read tons of mixed reviews for this place and decided to give it a try. otherwise I'll continue going as a treat to myself.but would love to go more if prices ever go down a bit. Then again, a small price drop would most definitely give more the ability to go, and enjoy the subs, and help Mike's with more sales, just a thought. If any issue, its I only wish it was a bit more affordable, but I suppose that's the price you pay for better quality. still has some tweaking to do.but, as far as taste, and service, its' great. Only issue is the website, which makes it complicated to correct or go online to order. The service is friendly and speedy, I also love the ability to use my Mike's card to receive and eventually redeem for sandwiches later. the meatball sub, and a creature of habit I get the same every time, but those with me, always enjoy there sandwiches as well. thanks for the awesome service and even short handed do it with a smile.Ĩ/2021.

Miller's offers a full bar along with a surf or turf menu. The fries were out of a bag but cooked well. The crab cake was moist, with the perfect amount of breading and a nice pepper finish. The scallops were fresh and slightly sweet, the shrimp was cooked perfectly. My fiancé ordered Broiled Special of Scallops and Shrimp soaked in a garlic, butter, chardonnay sauce with a Crab Cake and fries. The potato and asparagus were cooked perfectly. The fish was good enough to stand on its own. The cold crab and tomatoes offered a weird contrast to the dish. The hollandaise was light in flavor but prepared well. The fish was light, flaky and well seasoned. This was made with blackened snapper, chilled crab meat, diced tomatoes and a warm citrus hollandaise.

However, there was a slight sour note on the finish that kinda took away from the soup.įor my entrée I had the special of the day, Red Snapper with asparagus and a loaded baked potato. The crab was cooked wonderful, light flaky and slightly sweet. The tomatoes seemed like an afterthought and didn't help the dish. There was a slight heat bite on the tongue at the end. The dip was cheesy and buttery, the crab was fresh and slightly sweet and just melted in your mouth. The bread is toasted to a nice golden brown, but the pieces are laid on top of each other, so not all the bread was toasted. This comes with crab smothered in cheese, diced Roma tomatoes, served with toasted sourdough. Furthermore, they reminded me more of a fritter than a traditional hush puppy. They were fried to a golden brown, sprinkled with powdered sugar and were served with a whipped European butter that was excellent as well. Miller's is an aqua-themed casual joint serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. The first Spring Break food adventure we had was at Miller's Seafood & Steak House in Kill Devil Hills, NC.
